Finials are among the most refined expressions of spindle turning, combining graceful design with precise tool control. In this hands-on workshop, Keith Tompkins will guide participants through the process of designing and turning several attractive finial forms.

Students will explore the design principles that give finials their visual balance and elegance while learning the tool techniques required to execute them cleanly and confidently. Keith will demonstrate layout methods, shaping techniques, and decorative details, with individual guidance throughout the day.
